About

The Oxford Radical Forum 2017 is a completely free and open annual festival of radical ideas and culture, organised by students and activists in Oxford. Each year leading critics, authors and activists of the left are invited to spark critical thought and debate about how we understand the world and struggles to change it. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the Forum will focus on question such as, which way forward for Labour? What is the current situation of left nationalist and revolutionary movements across the world, from Colombia to Northern Ireland, Morocco and Indonesia? How can we think critically about the role of the UK in the world after the events of the past year? Closer to home, how do cuts and privatisation affect the NHS and can be combated effectively? What is the role of public institutions in perpetuating racism and rape culture? And what lies ahead for student activism and free education? This year’s Forum will host informed and engaged debates on all these questions and more.

All are welcome. At the heart of ORF is a hope that the conversations that take place at the event continue and excite activity, as well as discussion.
